TALE: Princess and the Pea

This one I REALLY loved. It's got a peasant girl and a prince falling in love, but his parents are doing this big competition for who is the best princess and whoever wins will win his hand. That was a great flip, considering usually it's the princes vying for the princess's hand. The peasant girl goes to compete, having discovered she's actually the lost princess of the kingdom. The competition is quite interesting, because the tests on the surface seem to be about who's the most delicate, etc. when actually, they're testing for something else entirely. The other princesses competing are also good secondary characters, except the villain, who's just a rather flat nasty princess. It's a bit on the predictable side, but hey, it's based on a fairy tale. We kind of know how it's going to go. I think this is one of the best of the entire series.
